DESCRIPTION:Traffic safety updates are coming to Granville Ave between Kedzie and Sheridan. Join us for a community meeting together with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) to learn about the 50th Ward section of the proposed project. The meeting will be on Monday\, February 24 at 6:30 PM at Congregation F.R.E.E. at 2935 W. Devon Ave. \nThis meeting is a follow-up to a meeting we held in October. The intent is to discuss ways to improve traffic safety on Granville with the ultimate goal to reduce non-local vehicle traffic and encourage slower speeds in order to make the street safer for pedestrians\, cyclists\, and motorists.

Backpacks will ONLY be distributed to children\, so make sure your child is present. \nNEW THIS YEAR: We will be hosting a Touch-A-Truck\, in partnership with State Senator Ram Villivalam and State Representative Kevin Olickal. After you get your backpack\, let your kids explore a real Chicago ambulance and fire truck. Please note: All CFD vehicles are in-service and could get called away for emergency calls.
